A foreign woman was arrested at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) after authorities detected alleged cocaine hidden in containers that simulated beauty products. On social media, photographs of the drug confiscated by airport personnel are being circulated. The woman was taken into custody and transferred to the corresponding authorities, along with the seized evidence, while the investigation file is being compiled. Semar highlighted that these activities were carried out 'with strict adherence to action protocols and inter-institutional coordination,' in line with permanent strategies to combat the entry of illicit substances into key points in the country. Finally, the agency reiterated its commitment to 'contributing to national security, strengthening surveillance on strategic infrastructure and preventing illicit substances from entering Mexican territory.'
